Being a relatively small charity you might imagine our workload is comparably small? Surprisingly not. We are always looking for volunteers in the UK to help progress and contribute to our goals.
We appreciate that it may sometimes be difficult to imagine how offering a little help in the UK has any significant impact in Uganda. Our entire UK operation consist of voluntary team members, we have no paid UK staff. Without the work of our voluntary team in the UK things might grind to a halt, having an immediate effect on the lives of the children we work with. Volunteering with us in the UK really does enable us to continue to change the lives of countless children in Uganda. Our volunteers affect the day to day lives of real people in desperate situations, perhaps you could consider being a part of that?
We are based primarily out of Horsham in West Sussex, but much of the type of help required isn’t restricted by your proximity to us. Please take a look at the roles below and if you think you could fulfill or assist in any of the jobs do get in touch via our contact page.
We need someone to source and apply for funding from both the charitable and corporate sector. The suitable volunteer should be able to work with us to to establish a solid foundation for applications, be computer literate and resourceful.
We would like to establish links with local schools to develop relationships between UK schools and our school in Uganda. Could you promote what we do to your children’s school perhaps? Both schools are able to benefit from the cultural interchange.
We would like to develop some video content to promote the work of the charity. This would be for online use and other promotional purposes. We can provide the footage shot in Uganda and the UK, can you provide the editing skills and time?
